Mould resistance and precocity were other features taken into account to minimize problems in humid years; testing was done outdoors in high humidity conditions. It is highly recommended to control the pH as well, making sure it does not exceed 6.5 otherwise it could demonstrate symptoms of iron deficiency in the form of progressive yellowing of the inter-venal spaces on the leaves and wrinkling on the tips of the leaflets.
